Self Care
As an introvert I love having time to myself. It has been somewhat challenging the past few months to really hone in on my personal self care. Why is it that ourselves are all too often the last we love and take care of? My dear friends, let us not waste another second! Let's love and care for ourselves whole hearted just as we love and care for our husbands, children, family, friends and everyone else and everything else in between. Even if it's just 5-10 minutes here and there throughout your day really take advantage of it all! Here are some of the ways I am practicing to care for myself.
If you have self care ideas you love as well share them below. Let's have an abundance of grace for ourselves and enjoy a few minutes or a few hours of me time today.
*Spending time with God*
This is my personal first and most needed self care throughout all of my days. God is my peace, my strength, my comfort, my everything. The days I don't spend time in the Bible or praying to Him I feel beyond frazzled and out of place. My quiet times look much different now with a 2 month old. The Bible app on my phone is my new best friend. They have a wide variety of reading plans that take 2-5 minutes to go through. They include a small devotion, a couple scriptures, and sometimes even a short prayer. These have been great for me to connect with God even if it is just 2 minutes out of my day. I have also been praying out loud more or just internally as I am doing daily things such as laundry, dishes or feeding Zaiden. We don't have to be alone in a quiet place for God to hear us. He knows what we are doing and He sees us right where we are. I know I can go to Him just as I am and even if its for the one minute I have to pee in the bathroom I can even say a quick prayer or praise right then. He's not judging you my friends.

*Bath Bombs & Face Masks*
Hot baths are part of my love language! There is nothing more relaxing to me than a steaming hot bath and a fun, fizzy bath bomb to add to it. Dr. Teals Epsom Salt is also a great addition. If I don't have time for a bath then a lavender face mask from Target or the Rose one from Lush does just the trick to calm my inner self.

*Exercise*
This one may not feel relaxing at first, but it is so good to get your blood pumping! I cancelled my gym membership half way through my pregnancy knowing I wasn't going to be going very much before and def. after the baby. With that being said, I still needed to find something to do at home to better my health. My two best friends have taken up yoga within the last year or so and obviously I needed to jump on the bandwagon. I have recently been doing yoga for the past 12 days at home via YouTube along with Zumba. I don't always feel motivated to do either at first, but 30 minutes later when I have completed one or more videos I feel really good and accomplished knowing that I am taking care of my health. If you don't have time or energy to do a work out video you can always go for a 10-15 minute walk around the block or at a park.

*Imperial Spa*
This place is a hidden gem in Las Vegas and it calls deep to my soul! It is filled with hot rooms, cold rooms, jacuzzis, saunas, steam rooms, and recliners. There's almost always a groupon for it and you can stay as long as you want. It is one of those places you have to experience to fully understand all of its greatness. So if you have a day off or several hours the Imperial Spa will not disappoint!

*Coffee*
Drinking coffee is also at the top of my self care list. Whether it is at home or at a coffee shop there's just something about it that settles everything within me.
