Date your Spouse

I love getting to spend time with Matt. He is my favorite person on planet earth, and how lucky am I that I get to share life with him!? For all you married, engaged, or dating friends out there, this post is for you! I believe it is so important to spend quality time with your spouse/significant other. There's so many things we can do to have one on one time together that are fun and grow your relationship as well. This post includes a list of my top favorite hangouts/dates Matt and I love to do together. If you have a favorite, please don't be shy and comment below! Let's encourage one another to continue growing with our spouse and understanding each other better. As people, we grow and change throughout the years, so we must take time and make the choice to continually pursue each other in our relationships beyond our engagement, wedding, and the business of life. So here's to loving our spouses and making the time we have together meaningful!

Coffee
I love coffee so this one is always on the top of my list! I love checking out new coffee shops and trying new drinks as well. This is a great time for good drinks and even greater conversations. Some of our favorite Vegas places are Illumilatte Brew Society and Madhouse Coffee.

Libraries
Did you know that most of the libraries in Las Vegas have a used book store where you can buy used books for as little as .25-$1!! We both love books and reading, so this is a pretty frequent and fun date for us. Some of our best buys are the Harry Potter ($7) and Eragon ($4)  series (and 30 volumes of Naruto manga for $15 -Matt). Our two favorite locations are the Summerlin and Sahara Libraries.

Pokemon Go
Yes, we are still on the Pokemon Go kick. Why? Because the app is free and it still gets us out the house to walk around! As cheesy as it may be it is fun to grow our pokodex and truly try to "catch them all"!

Dinner
Having quality dinners together is always a good way to connect. Whether you are making dinner together at home or going out to eat, being around the table together calls for conversation. Some of out favorite cheap eat places are Raising Canes and In-N-Out. Some of our fancier date night choices are The Cheesecake Factory, RedRobin, or Flavors Buffet at Harrahs.

Redbox/Netflix
Sometimes you just need a night to lounge! If you have Netflix or Hulu then find a movie/tv show to watch together. If you want to see a relatively new movie then Redbox is the way to go!

Reading (book series)
Last year on the way to camping, Matt and I started reading the Harry Potter series together. The idea is to choose a book or book series you both would enjoy and take turns reading out loud to each other. If neither of you really wants to read out loud then you could always download the audio book version and listen together.

Tent Camping
This is by far my favorite vacations thus far in life! Especially living in Vegas there are so many options to get away for the weekend that aren't too far & at low cost. Some of our favorite camping places have been Mt. Zion and the Grand Canyon. Others we plan to go to in the future are Death Valley, Yosemite, and Glacier National Park.

Game Night
I'm not a huge game fan, but Matt loves games. This is still a great opportunity to do something together other than watching tv or just being on your phone while in the same room. The more time I have put into playing games with Matt, the more I enjoy the time together.

Dating Divas
www.thedatingdivas.com has an abundance of date night ideas and themes for FREE!! I highly recommend checking out the website when you are looking for new date ideas. They have date ideas for the whole family. They also have free print outs that range from seasonal bucket lists, love notes, and so much more!

Parks/Hiking
There are so many parks in Las Vegas. We love to pick a different park and walk around. You could also go for a picnic or check out dog parks if you have furry loves. Some of our favorites include Desert Breeze and Mountain Crest. Other places in Vegas you can go for outdoor adventures include Red Rock Canyon and Mount Charleston.
